It definitely sounds like the sky is falling at my house, but it's pecans hitting the roof. It's so much better to write this word for nuts, I'm never sure how to pronounce it. As a receptacle for bodily fluids vs. sounding snooty. Conversations definitely go downhill with the former, I learned on the waterfront one day that it was illegal in Oregon to deposit such fluids in a zippered bag. Truckers were depositing said bags all over the highway. Using the latter pronounciation seems to always prompt ridicule. The point here is this is apparently a pecan year. Learn more about pecans
